Edmund Lee’s things…

I don’t update this very often, meaning you won’t get spammed if you subscribe. Instead, you’ll get the occasional note from me and wonder, huh, why did I get this?

Wait, who are you?

By day, I’m a reporter for The New York Times, covering media. By night, I’m a reporter for The New York Times, covering media. In other words, this is pretty much what occupies my brain all the time, and hence, this newsletter.

In between, I’m a member of the oddball subset of Asian Americans who never got a professional degree or made money or pursued any sense of stability. So I do write about that as well.

In other words, this is a hodgepodge, a can’t-nail-it-down newsletter thingy because you can do that now.

Why is it called ‘Cleverly Painted Mules?’

If you know, you know. Otherwise, it’s really not important. It’s just a name.
